Finishes Mini Album Plans for Candy

And Finally...the finished front cover followed by the back outside cover.I created a small chain on the outside holding a dog charm, fire hydrant and brown buttons. I love the quote on the back.

I had fun doing this but I am glad it is finally done...time to start something new. I bought some great stuff at the sale yesterday so who knows what I will start next. I am thinking blog candy. Check back tomorrow for some news. My birthday is fast approaching and I think its time for me to share some gifts. Come back tomorrow.

Mini Album Pages 4-8

Finally more pages to the mini album. Loads of photos but few words. So, here goes:
Page 4Page 5: Maggie in all her glory. This is the puppy we kept at home. She now rules the roost. She is a small mighty heart stealer.
Page 6 shows some of Maggie's exploits.Page 7 Maggie with her brothers and sisters.
I embossed the butterfly with gold detail and then colored with painted with Twinkling H2Os. Love it.

Page 8. The puppies were only 4 days old. They still have their eyes closed and look how tiny they were. All were less than .5 of a pound but they were all healthy.

I used Pearl Perfect powders on an Inkadinkado image. I used the Inkadinkado Opaque Pen to dot the design.

I used a heat gun to shrink the ribbon. Love how it turned out. I attached the ribbon to an acrylic square button.

I still have another 8 pages to go so there will be more photos. It has been fun to do this. I love my MS butterfly punch and the Cricut cut flowers that I can emboss with Perfect Pearls. This is the first mini album I have done and I am trying to maintain a theme so I am repeating the embellishments to maintain this theme.

Today its freezing rain so school is cancelled which means exams postponed. Yet another day I must `hound and beg`the boys to study. Yuck! Yuck! Grade 11 and 12 students do not take well to their Mom telling them what to do.

I think it is time to play with some new stamps so I`ll be back later with the next card.

Page 2 & 3 Mini Album

Finally page 2 and 3 are ready to post. All papers are DCWV The Pets Stack and the embellishment are most made by me, (not the brads!). The album itself the Luggage Tag from Basic Grey. It is really great to play with. It is 7.5 inches long and 5 inches wide. The first photos are of the second page. I used the Cricut and the George Basic shapes to make the flowers.

The doggie paw brad is from http://www.scrapbookingcafeonline.ca/index.html. This is a great little store for Canadians...very affordable.

Page 3 Made to last a lifetime. I cut the top off a chipboard tag forthis tag. I added a few doodle with the opaque pen and distress the edges. The butterfly is a stamp that I embossed with gold detail and used H2Os to color. The flower was stamped with versamark and I used Perfect Pearls to color.

I used magic mesh on this page under the butterfly and flower.

I`m still having fun working on this. I seem to have lost my Mojo for cards. I tired 3 since yesterday and have restarted each one of them and then gave up. Now I have to go decide what I can manage to put together for that Home-Made Meal my family is expecting. Woe is me. What I could do with a housekeeper / cook!

Scrapbook Day.

Well here they are ladies, the Scrapbookers of Hillsborough. These ladies introduced me to scrapbooking 4 years ago and we have had such fun. We got together on Sat. to play all day long. They are at my new `work table`in my new space which I will post in a day or two. I am so excited on what I started on Sat. that I have to post this first.I started a mini book about, guess who....my Yorkies. This is the cover of the album.

I am so proud of this mini album....that is not even finished yet. I made all the embellishments and had such fun doing it.

I cut the flower using my cricut, on black paper and then used a stamp and versamark and two colors of Perfect Pearls. I misted it when done and rolled the edges around the paintbrush to give it a 3D appearance. You can also see how I used a hole punch on the photo above.

This next picture shows my beautiful butterfly.

I stamp with Versamark and then embossed with Gold Detail. I colored it using Twinkling H2Os. This photo also shows the hole punch distress on the photo.

The next photo show another layered flower again done with Perfect Pearls and a bookplate tag done using copper embossing with gold highlights. The writing is done with Inkadinkado Opaque penas well as the dots on the flowers.

This final photo shows a frame I found at Micheals $ bin. I used the Opague pen to dot around the edge. The frame is similar to chipboard and really adds dimensions.

The flowers are stamped on black and gold embossed. I painted them with Twinkling H20s. I attached the flowers to a piece of Magic Mesh for more texture.

I attached all the paper on the panel using Modge Podge and distress the edges with sandpaper. All the papers used in the album are from DCWV The Pets Stack slab. Wonderful papers with lots of texture.

Today I spent most of the day finding and then attaching 31 photos to a collage mat that my DH wants in his office. It is large with a mate with different sized openings for the photo and it was not fun to do. It does look great though so it is worth the time it took....but no playing today.

Wait until tomorrow....my plan is forming in my head as we speak. I just noticed my counter is not working...ugh.
