Picture in a Frame

My DH works in a treatment center for adolescents experiencing difficulty behaviorally and socially. One of their clients won a Turn-Around Award at school so I made this 8 x 10 picture for her using stamps and twinkling H2Os. The butterfly and the dragonfly are both from Stamp Zia and are so wonderful to color. The small butterflies are from a set I purchased at a yard sale. The sentiments are from Inkadinkado while the flowers are unmarked. I embossed all of them using versamark and gold detail powder. I used Black Disco powder on the sentiments.

The girl's favorite colors are orange, blues and greens so I did the butterfly in a combination of blues and the flowers were done in Golden Orange. I used Golden Rod stickles on the antenna and dotted areas.
The dragonfly has much more orange and greens on it. I also outlined the sections with gold and dotted with the stickles.

I used an 8x10 frame to hold the picture. I am very pleased with it....hope she knows how proud we all are of her.
Off to pick up one of the boys....my son had 2 interviews for jobs yesterday and was hired last night. We are so pleased with this. I hope you all have a wonderful day. I hope to get some stamping done the afternoon.
Hugs

Santa`s Framed

After making 10 of the last post I needed a change so I gave this lovely stamp set Wishing You Cheer from SU a run. I made 2 different framed pictures. In this first one I used only one tree with the Santa`sAgain it is a $ store frame but this one is not a shadow box and does not have a mat. I stamped the images using Versamark with Black Disco EP. When this is heated it has such a great sparkle to it. I love using it. Thank goodness those bottles go a long way. I used spica pens to highlight the hat trim, scarf and tree.
After I had it done I thought the top left corner was bare. I tried a snowflake but it looked tooooo large so I ended up doing my 3 dot doodle all around the edges. I also used Zig 2 Way Glue to attach Diamond Dust on the Santas and the snow. I love that stuff....such sparkle.
For the next frame I added another tree and I like that one better.
Everything else is the same except I did not color in the tree. I thing it fits better inside the frame. No doodles either this time. Both panels are framed first with Riding Hood Red and then Black. I used the ticket corner punch on each picture.
I attached the panels unto glossy gold paper from Michael's. No name is stamped on the paper but it comes in 12 x 12 size and has a semi gloss sheen. I love using it. Just the right amount of gloss.
I am really late posting today. Had to run into the city to try to find more frames at the $store and could only find 6 in 2 stores. DH is going to the others tomorrow. I had some in but I really hate to give them all to him for his partners when I could use them for myself. Now doesn`t that make me sound selfish! Guess I had better rethink about just giving them to him eh.
Well off to teach myself to share. Talk later. Leave comments please they make me feel so wonderful. Have a great Halloween everyone.

Skaters Among Trees

I just wish you could see the sparkle from the EP. It is Disco Black and sparkles more than any other EP I have every seen. It sparkles Red, Blue, Green and White. Love it.

This picture is a combination of three separate stamps. The trees are from Lovely as a Tree from SU and the skaters are the middle of a stamp from the Stamp Barn. I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to place all the stamps. The background is the Lovely as a Tree stamp twice and the foreground tree is stamped four times. I could not have created this scene with out a stamp positioner.

I colored the land, and lake with Twinkling H2Os. The sky is done using a sponge and ink. The mats are both colored with a bayer and SU ink. Such fun.

I love doing this type of picture because I am always so pleased with the $ store frame. That`s right. I used a shadow box frame that I spent a whole dollar on. I bought all that the store had and have made quite a few gifts using them.

Well time to go again and play housekeeper...just a little bit though.
Talk later

PS My DH just came home and ordered 9 more of this framed stampart to give as presents to his colleagues. Guess what I`m doing tonight.
