Stamp with Fun

It seems like ages since I have stamped. Since the graduation activities are finally over, I have been scrapbooking all the grad. activities. I started with scrapbooking and I do enjoy it. But today I wanted to stamp so I followed Bea's sketch on Stamp with Fun. I am also doing this card for the Roses on Paper challenge which calls for doing another challenge and simply adding flowers for the Roses on Paper challenge.

I used this sitting Magnolia and made a little change on the image. This Tilda comes with a tart on the front of the shirt which I simply did not ink and then put this little pearl bow. Both this bow and paper are from a blog candy I won. The paper is Kate Knight from Dovecraft. It was lovely to work with.

I used markers to color the image and attached her to the top layer with foam tape.

I used my Marvy punches to make the flowers. The photo does not show the glossy of the white flowers. I actually used photo paper. The colored center are colored with the markers to match the image. The center brads are from SU.

The inside shows more of the paper from Kate Knight. I added a sentiment section using the label 4 nestibility.
It was fun to stamp again. I still have to finish the graduation scrapbook so it may be a bit spacier between cards. Talk soon.

Its Your Day

I made this card to give to my son's date for the Prom. I wanted to have something she could save with her photos since she is such a great girl. I can submit this card for both the Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge and the Stamp with Fun Challenge. The Spoon full of Sugar challenge is to make a card to celebrate something so I choose to celebrate graduation.

I used my Prismacolored Markers to color these images and attached them using dimensional dots to this DCWV Far East stack paper. I also used the Metallic Textured paper by DCWV as the BG. I used my heidi Swapp Edge Distresser to create the shabby vintage look for the Stamp with Fun challenge. I then used the Worn Lipstick distress ink and Gold ink to highlight the edges. The butterflies were made using the Martha Stewart butterfly punch. The sentiment stamp is from the $1 bin at Michaels. I embossed it with a mixture of Garnet and Tinsel Gold powder.
I left the inside plain to write a "perfect" note to the date. I have to rush off and do a "small" bit of housework to say I did some...HaHa. Talk later.

Stamp with Fun Bike Ride

I followed the sketch on Stamp with Fun for this card. I used markers and the cuttlebug folders to create this card. The image is a Sarah Kay stamp Taking a Spin.

I used dimensional spots to attach the image to the label 4 nestibilities. I used my sander from Basic Gray to highlight the designs on the pink with white core paper.
I created a pocket on the inside to hold the sentiment tag I made using 2 label 4 layers. The Thanks so Much image is from Inkadinkado.
The repair man is here fixing our dryer...thank goodness. Living in a house with 4 men and myself and no dryer or clothes line..it is absolutely no fun. I have had clothes on chairs on the inside deck drying. I put some on the outside deck but the dogs thought they were toys so in they came. We lost our clothesline with the deck extension and I have asked and asked for a new one. Then it became apparent that I couldn't really used the line so the dryer became the only way of drying. Tonight will be a challenge trying to convince everyone that they only get 1 load each!
Enough babbling. I hope you all have a fantastic day and that the weather is beautiful.

Stamp with Fun Dreams

This week the challenge on Stamp with Fun is to make a 4 x 8 inch card and this is what I created. I used the remainder of the scraps from yesterday's post and my new Labels 3 and 4 nestibility.
I colored Tilda with my markers and used stickles on the wings and her eyes. This image reminds me so much of my sister. She had long braided auburn hair and was such a dreamer. She would have gotten a kick out of this card because I always called her a dreamer.

I used the smaller dies from Label 4 and hand write the sentiment. I added the half pearls and stitckles on the prima flowers. I used Martha Stewart's oak leaf pun for the leaves.

On the inside I used both sizes of the Marvy punch to create the flowers. I was thinking of sending this to a university student who is writing her thesis now....just reminds my of my studying time at university....many dream breaks.
Well it is 5 am and I finally think I could go to sleep. My boys were all at a going away party for a friend and I can't go to sleep until they are all home. Unfortunately, time means nothing to them. By the time the last one came in I had my second wind which at this moment is running out sooooo...time for a short nap.

The End and Beginning

Oh, I love the sketch found on Fridays Sketchers...it is a really cool one. Gotta love that curve at the bottom. This long narrow card fits lovely in a business envelope and I just happen to have some Pink ones. Too cool eh.
I colored with Prismacolored Markers and used the yellow, green and pink spica pens to highlight. They add such a twinkle to a card. The flower on the top right was made using ones I won in blog candy and they are plastic! They look really great...they have a mirror effect and look great in reality. The flowers on the left are made using with a Marvy punch.
I used my Harmony Rectangle stamper and Brampton 25 and 50 pt letters to make my sentiments. After stamping and cutting I layered them on the base card paper and attached them with foam dots. The DP is all from DCWV.

I continued the sentiment on the inside. I am so happy with this card. I wanted to acknowledge the sadness of leaving school and all the friends and the excitement of starting on a new journey. I am pleased with this card and hope you like it as well. Have a great weekend.

Fairy Time

I followed the sketch from StampwithFun. I love this sketch and think it will be used again and again. These images are from Inkadinkado Fairy Set which is a great set...I love both fairies and angels. The papers are all from DCWV Pocket Full of Posies and Metallic slab. I followed the sketch with one addition that hardly shows on the photo...on the top left corner I added some of the Aqua metallic from the scalloped cut to the corner...I thought it need some balance.

I colored the images using Twinkling H2Os to add to the shimmer I think fairies must have. I curled the edges of the butterflies and the flowers to add some dimension to the card front.

On the inside I used the smallest of the fairies in the set and she is such a cutie. Both on the inside and outside I used the oval nestibilities. I do love my nesties and was so excited last night. The Shopping Channel in Canada had the wizard with all the goodies on sale for $89 and the labels nestibilities for $24. I ordered my own Mother's Day gifts at my DH suggestion and got the Wizard and labels 2 and 4. I can hardly wait to get them. It was such a lucky channel switch that found this sale but for anyone interested it is under the craft section. This is the best price I have ever seen . These prices are in Canadian $ and the lowest I have seen the Wizard is $99 American. Just call me the Happy Stamper...yeah for Channel hopping on the TV.
Talk later.

Stamp With Fun Challenge#1

Another new challenge spot: Stamp With Fun Challenge. This is their first challenge and it is also a sketch challenge. I used Magnolia Tilda with Leaves from the Autumn kit 2008. I used markers to color and added some stickles for highlighting.
All the papers are DCWV Pocketful of Posies. I added Prima Flowers and put some stickles in the center of each flower. I also put stickles in the raindrops. The raindrops on the large flower is actually crystal effects. It looks just like drops of water. I hand wrote the sentiment using a spica pen.
I wanted to post this on time for the wonderful prize...Easter Magnolia stamps and since I am still not feeling up to snuff I am signing off for the day. Talk tomorrow.
