Derek`s Card

This is the card I made for little Derek. The previous blog post has all the information and the address. All the papers are from the DCWV Cat Scrapbook Kit in a Stack. I used Martha Stewart`s lace punch to finish the bottom edge.
I picked up this stamp at Micheals in the $ bin. This Disney stamp has one of the clearest stamped images. I used my Prismacolored Markers in the following colors:
  • orange for Tiger with yellow orchre for the face
  • spanish orange and crimson red for the bear
  • donkey is done in imperial violet and violet blue and light peach
  • the mouse is done in pink and blush pink

I used the rectangle and scalloped rectangle to cut the image out and the first layer. The heart is raised with dimensions for a little punch. I used this cuttlebug die for the ribbon slide and used letters from the cat stack. The ribbon is from Micheals. I doodle around the edges in a light blue gel pen.
I used letters again to print out Derek and wrote a little note to get better. It really is nice to be able to do something like this for a family. I hope it helps the family`s recovery.

My back and side are slowly recovering and my ego is coming back as well. Still not able to drive so everybody else is finishing the shopping. I hate doing it so this works out great for me. Off to do a little blog visiting. Talk later.

Hugs

Help Derek

Just a quick note today...no card as I am too bunged up from that stupid XXXXXX fall. I can hardly wait till my feet and legs and body all work as one. Guess I had better add my brain to that list as well. So today I am asking a favor. Donna at http://stampamaniac.blogspot.com/2009/02/update-on-little-derek-plea-for.html has a request out for cards for a little 25 month old Derek who is in the hospital recovering from surgery and burns. The address is on her blog so please surf on over there and aid in Derek`s recovery.
Hugs
Heather
