Cute Card Thursday Post Pals

This week the challenge at Cute Cards Thursday is to make Happy Mail. They included the idea of making cards for PostPals. I decided to make 2 cards and send them off.
So I used this Magnolia and used the circle scalloped nestibilities. I colored her in Prismacolored Markers. I love the cute bow I made. I attached it with Zots mini dots. The papers are My Mind's Eye and I think are so happy.

On the inside I used label 1 nestibilities.

For my second card I used this Stampandous Peanuts stamp. I colored it with markers and cut it out with my curvy rectangle nestibility. The ribbon is running through a die cut from cuttlebug and the Puppy love sentiment is from Cloud Nine. Again the papers are from My Mind's Eye and the ribbon is from Michaels...Creative Satin.

On the inside I used another Cloud Nine stamp as well as this Inkadinkado stamp. I colored in the sentiment image with spica pens.
Go check out this site through Cute Card Thursday...it will make you feel better. Such a rainy and cold day here so this warms me up a bit. Not much other news so talk later.

Graduation Girl

For the first time I have made a card that fulfills two challenges.

I think this is a great card for some of the girl graduates I have to make cards for. I used a digital image and I am sad to say I have no idea where I got it from. I downloaded it and saved it perfectly except I forgot to include the source. If anyone knows, please tell me.

The photo really doesn't do it justice...the white layer is actually glossy paper from SU and I used a spica pen on her hair, color and shoes to really add some oomps. I also outline the gown and hat in black spica. The poke-a-dot flowers are Primas and the others I made using marvy punches and the Swiss Dot embossing folder. The half pearls are from the Pretties Kit fr SU.
On both the front and inside I used MS Dollie punch and Dashes, Dots and Checks ribbon from Michaels. The grad stamp is from Rubber Stampede.

I have been making the invitations to my son's Grad Party so not too many cards to show. I will show the finished invitations soon. We had a beautiful day here...26C...too hot but I can't really complain. This is the actually is my chosen temperature but since we had snow last week it is too much of a change.... Must go make super for the family. Talk later.

WOF Cute Card Thursday

I was able to fulfill two challenges with this card. I followed the sketch on Whiff of Joy Challenges and used the brown pink combination for Cute Card Thursday.
I love this sketch...such a wonderful way to show off some DP. The pink DP Provo Craft. Isn't it lovely. The brown is from We R Memory Keepers. This paper is very thick and so smooth. I outlined the front panel first in brown and then in the pink I used for the cardbase.
I love this Kneeling Willow stamp. I seem to use it more often than any other stamp. I colored her in Deco pink, Light Umber and Dark Brown. I used the same marker for the apron and the dress. The apron is colored more than once. I also used a clear spica pen on the white trim and the bottom of the apron. Cotton Candy stickles were used on the blossom pattern on the dress and around the scalloped oval.

I used the largest oval and it's matching scallop to hold the sentiment on the inside. All in all I really like this card.
It is so cold here today. I have the fire going in the fireplace and I know that Spring must have ' hard to believe that Easter is this weekend. Oh well the Easter bunny will be able to hide in the snow. Talk later.

Cute Card Thursday Cherish

Today I followed the sketch on Cute Card Thursday and I really like how it turned out. I wanted a Happy card but not using the purples or pinks that I seem to be using a lot lately. All the papers I used today came in a blog candy but I think they are all SU papers. They are all reversible and coordinate perfectly.
I colored my Kneeling Willow from WOJ using Twinkling H2Os. I can hardly wait for my orders of paints to come in. I was so upset to hear they were stopping making these gorgeous paints that I ordered as many as I could afford. Today I used only 4 colors: hair-Ginger Peach; apron-Autumn Butternut; dress-Mystic Blue with highlights of Sapphire on Ice. I used the light peach Prismacolored marker on the flesh and deco pink marker on the flower.
To create the two circles I used my SU punch and the 3rd scalloped nestibility. The Cherish stamp is from Baroque Motifs and is stamped in Taken with Teal. I used a Martha Stewart punch to create the bottom edge.
I used the scraps for the inside and added some of the ribbon Classic Traditions Satin ribbon for trim. I am expecting company this afternoon so I best tidy up a bit. Talk later.

Cute Card Thursday Animals

The challenge this week was to use animals on the card. So here is the peek of card #1 and.......

here is the card. I had so much fun preparing this card. This is my New Sarah Kay stamp from Stampavie. This is my first Stampavie stamp and I am really impressed with them. It makes a great image.
I colored this image using my Prismacolored Markers, Pencils and of course my Inkessential White pen. I used my curved rectangle nestibility and ribbon I purchased at Michaels. The DP is from DCWV Pocket Full of Posies stack.
I love this sentiment stamp from Inkadinkado. I have used it so much...definitely a favorite.
For my second card I used all SU stamps from the Feathered Hope stamp set which I have borrowed and now must return to my SU demo. It is such a wonderful stamp set.
Love this stamp...really looks like Spring even though its snowing outside...yuck.

Again I used my markers and pencils to do this coloring. I love the way the markers and pencils work so well together. I used mini pearls from Michaels on the body of the butterfly on both cards. It adds such a nice touch.
the inside sentiment is from the SU set and is just perfect for this card.
I had such fun coloring and making these animal cards. I hope you all have a fantastic day. Talk later.

Cute Card Thursday

This was one of the easiest cards ever. I found the most perfect paper...already glittered and ready to be cut. It even had snowflakes on it. I love sparkly paper and the colors are perfect..pink and red. I only wish the photo would do the paper justice. I had color an image to go on the card but decided the paper was too beautiful to cover. I added the image from curly tags from SU. I embossed it with Disco Black to keep the sparkle theme working. The ribbon is velvet ribbon I got at Michaels.

Well yesterday was a day and a half. I drove into the city, 30 minutes away to attend a Doctor`s appointment. I went in early to visit my Mom. When I went to the Doctor`s office and the nurse had such a guilty look on her face. She had been trying to reach me to tell me the doctor was sick. It was snowing and windy...the perfect day to be at home. Well anyhow, she felt bad and I decided to eat out to make me feel like the trip was not useless.

The day had been fairly OK until I got home. I had locked the Golden Retrievers in my son`s apartment to prevent any damage to the decorating. They are good dogs but they like to play. Normally I would put the Golden`s out but it was storming and I wanted them comfortable. Stupid me,,, the mischievous Golden managed to squeeze through the cat door, get upstairs, knock down the gate for the Yorkies and eat and tear a whole pile of decorations from a box. I came home to torn Christmas decorations scattered all over the Family Room. Between wanting to kill the dogs, and dealing with them kissing me to death, I wanted to just leave again...But it was Storming.

Well the dogs are still alive and the Christmas decorations are still partially up. Next time I want to leave them, they are outside no matter what the weather is.

I will post again later tonight but I have to go get the meal for the family together. Talk later.
