Mojo Monday Easter Wagon

I followed the sketch from Mojo Monday but turned it sideways for this card. I wanted to use this cute stamp from Alota. This is actually two stamps... the wagon and the eggs. I colored the eggs and wagon with Prismacolored Markers and attached them both with dimensionals. I used the long scalloped rectangles to frame the wagon. I don`t know what brand of paper the purple or white paper is. The printed purple is from DCWV Pocket full of posies stack. I used the EK edge stamp on the two layers on the right. I attached ribbon from Michael's with an Easter Egg brad instead a of a bow and I really like this change.
On the inside I used the long rectangle nestibilities again. The sentiment is faint in the photo but it says Happy Easter Eggstravaganza.
Hope you take the time to check out the Surprise on the previous post...its worth it.
Enjoy your day.
Hugs

Mojo Monday #78 Iris Love

I made this card following Mojo Monday`s sketch and I really love it. I have decided to give Mother`s Day cards to my friends who are Mothers. I only have one Mom but I love making the cards sooooo...all friends who are Moms will get an extra card today. I am learning this past week that Motherhood has its trials so they all neeed a little extra so here is the first of my Moms cards. The image is Flourishes Siberian Iris and it is such a wonderful stamp set. I used papers from Provo Craft and the paisley paper is unknow but beautiful . I received my Twinkling H2Os that I ordered on sale at Marco Papers so guess what I colored with.

My main colors were Sweet Alfalfa, Periwinkle, and Rose Petal. I stamped the image with Versafine Onyx Black on watercolor paper. This is the greatest ink for watercoloring and markers. It just does not smudge and shows great detail. I used a brush with the water colors.
I cut the image out with the curvy rectangle nestibility and then traced its outline and used scissors to cut out the second layers. I traced the outline of one of the circle nestibiilites to create the bottom edge. Tracing the outside of the die allows you to get a thin edge on the next layer. Going to the next larger die often is too much for the second layer but tracing the outside is perfect.
The bow embellishment was made by tieing a small bow of Michaels Spool o Ribbon and attaching it with a Zot to a small circle. I then attached 3 oak leaves from the Martha Stewart punch to create the twigs. All of this was attached with another Zot.
This photo shows my newest punch. It is one of the new Ek punches and so far I really like it. I love how the punch clicks close to be almost flat. It takes a lot less room than most other edge punches. I also love the designs they have. I have no idea what this one is called but I like it.
I am so excited to get these Twinkling H2Os. There was an explanation on Stamp with Beate Yahoo message group that Luminarte was swamped with thousands of orders and will fill them all slowly but surely. They had let go most of their staff so it may take a while to get all the orders out. I am still waitin for 2 more orders. I nearly flipped when I heard they were closing. This is my most precious tool I think. Twinkling H2Os make me feel like an artist and that is soooooo cool. So watch for more watercoloring on the next post and then I will promise to try the markers next.
Well its almost time to get the gang up for school and work. I am so amazed that no one else in the family doesn`t just wake up. I go around and wake each of them up from a dead sleep. I know you could count on one hand the number of times someone has woken me up. I will try to be pleasant but hey this is stealing blogging time!
Talk later. Hugs

First Mojo Monday...just a bit late

I finally found the Mojo Monday blog and made this card for this past week`s sketch challenge. I used a Sugar Nellie stamp from last year...Getty Up and Go. I used my markers to color and put the image on dimensionals. The whole card is made using scraps. The only one I know for sure is the yellow stripes are from SU. The brads are also from SU soft subltes collection. I used the circles embossing folder and my cuttlebug on the pink paper. The square and the scalloped square nestibility were used to cut out the image layer.
Just a short post today....I need to go pick up one of the boys. Have a wonderful weekend. Talk later.
Hugs
