Flourishes Timeless Tuesday

The challenge this week at Flourishes was to have a quote as the focal point of the card. I used a pre-cut card that I purchased at Carousel Rubber stamp store in Nova Scotia. I ordered 10 of these Acru cut cards and this is the first I have used. I kept saving them for something special and decided that the time had come to stop hoarding. The paper is parchment paper and I used holograph paper on the insert.

I stamped this Inkadinkado sentiment with Walnut stain distress ink on the hologram paper. It was difficult to photograph because of the paper...it has a slight shimmer effect.

I used the small rose bud and stemmed flower on the bottom right corner and the top left used the large stemmed rose (without stem) on the top left. I colored the flowers using Petal Pink and Sweet Alfalfa of the Twinkling H20s. I used very little color on these flowers and tipped the edges with watered green.
I woke up this morning to a beautiful winter day. The snow is coming down in such large flakes and the trees are covered with new snow....beautiful. Even though snow makes travel by car or feet difficult it is truly one of my favorite sights....pure new fallen snow glistening on everything...spectacular natural beauty.
I plan on surfing around and checking out some blogs so have a wonderful day everyone.
Hugs
Heather
