Flourishes Iris

This is the first time I have inked this wonderful stamp from Flourishes. I have left this card sentiment free, I want to have it available for either Easter, Birthday or Sympathy. It is such a versatile stamp.
I first embossed the image with detail gold embossing powder and then colored with Prismacolored Markers. I used
  • lilac as the main flower color
  • added depth with violet
  • highlighted with deco pink
  • leaves are light and dark olive

To keep the gold theme going I edged all the sides with versamark and then dipped them in gold embossing powder. Since I had used the curvy rectangle nestibility to cut out both the image and the first DP panel, the embossing was very attractive.

The papers I used are from Creative Memories and DCVW. I made the back panels slightly off center to add to the design. On the bottom I used a ribbon slide tag from Cuttlebug and ran white sheer creations ribbon from Micheals through it. I used the dotted Swizz embossing folder to add dimension to the tag.

On the inside I used a lighter Lilac paper to create the base and added dies cut with the CB as trim. The center panel is label one from Nestibilites. I used the gold Archival stamp pad on all edges. I love the dies from CB. I ran them through my sticker machine to attach them.

The boys and DH have gone to the semi finals in the local hockey tournament and if they win I am going to go to my first hockey game of the year. I haven`t gone to a game since I had back surgery but since this is the boys final year, I would really love to see this game. Hope they win.

Talk later. Don`t forget to smile at a stranger today to make someone`s day better.
Hugs
Heather
