Waiting for the Mail

I followed the sketch for Fridays Sketches for this card. I love this Magnolia stamp and it works wonderfully with this layout. I got the idea for the little letter from Carol from the UK. Our cards are similar and she must be given credit for this. It does make a great card and I know our little Megan will get a kick out of the little letter on the front.

I used my Prismacolored markers for coloring and added a bit of my Inkssentials pen for highlighting. I used mulled lavender Distress ink on all the edges. I do like edges distressed with this ink. It really adds to the sketch by allowing similar pages to be used on a sketch.

The papers are all from the DCVW Pocket Full of Posies Stack. They are truly the most gorgeous papers. They all have a bit of sparkle added to them and we know how I love sparkle! I bought those great sparkly flowers at the fantastic $ store. Oh, what a fun place to buy some cute little embellishments. You never know what you will find.

On the inside of the card I used larger pieces of the trim papers used on the front. You can see some of the sparkle.
On the back flap I used my long rectangle scalloped die to cut out the spaces for our sentiment and our signing. I also attacked a little envelope.
