Kimmie`s Challenge

Oh, I had fun doing this card. Kimmie from Kraftin`Kimmie`s Korner has put out some challenges to celebrate her birthday and blogoversary. This is for the challenge that combines hearts and patterned paper. So here are the details.

I used this great Tilda with Lilacs. My favorite flower is lilacs so of course I love this stamp. I colored her with my PC markers and used Starry Night stickles on the lilacs. Who could ask for more...purple and glitter!! I also used Star Dust stickles on the wings of the Magnolia.

The hearts are all made with the heart nestibilities. I used Provo Craft paper that is wonderful...muted colors all blended together. I distressed the edges of the hearts with Mulled Lavender Distress ink. I used Pretty in Pink gingham ribbon from SU across the front and attached the bow with a zot dot.

On the inside I repeated the heart theme and used the label 1 nestibility to write my sentiments on. I will be sending this one to my Great Niece who is still in the hospital. I hope she likes it. It has been fun making cards for her and I know she has them all on display. This is what making cards is all about.

Well gotta go get some things done so Talk Later......

Hugs
Heather

What a darling card. I like how the decorative paper is cut into shapes. Very unique, and interesting, idea. Thanks for visiting my blog. I'm in Sarnia, Ontario, but spent 14 years out east (came back to ON 8 yrs ago). My heart was left in the Maritimes so you are going to see a ton of Maritime stamps. I'm working on the flower pots from NB and Tobermory, ON. If you have any suggestions, I would welcome them.

Hugs,

Beth
