Hosiptal Visit Card

I made this card following Fridays Sketchers sketch for this week. It is not my favorite card but I wanted to do something with this paper. My great niece is in the hospital for a couple of weeks and she wanted a red and blue card. She is an identical twin and this is the first time they have been separated. She is only 8 years old. I am sending her a card a day so this is just the first of a few.

The papers are from My Mind`s Eye and I used the curvy rectangle to cut out the image. I distress the edges of all the pieces using either Fire Brick Red Distress ink or Brocade Blue from SU. I used the corner ticket punch on the corners. I didn`t have any red ribbon so I used Merry Christmas ribbon on the wrong side...sometimes you just have to cheat. The buttons are from SU and I sewed them on with embroidery thread.
I used the Magnolia Tilda in apron stamp and colored it using my Prismacolored Markers. I highlighted with an Inkadinkado Opaque Pen on the apron and ruffles. I used a clear and gold spica pen on the wings to add some sparkle.
I added two flowers from my stash and I have no idea where they are from. I attached it with a blue crystal brad and put some crystal effects on the petals of the red flower to look like dew.

I used the rectangle stamper from JustRite to personalize the sentiment. I cut it out using the curvy rectangle as well.
It is now 2 am and all the boys are home, the dogs are in bed and I can now go to sleep. I love that the boys have such wonderful social lives but I do like to sleep. Thank goodness it only happens on the weekend. I just can`t go to bed until they are all home and neither can the dogs.
Off to bed.
Talk later
Hugs
Heather
