Sketch Friday

This is the sketch today for Sketch Friday. I thought I would give it a try.
So after looking through my stamps I choose one of my all time favorites, Lovely as a Tree SU. This is the most versatile stamp I have. It works for so many styles. Today I embossed it with Disco Embossing Powder and I love how it sparkles. I also added stars or should I say snowflakes from Snow Burst.

I tried to do a bayered sky but ended up trying to sponge in some color. I am not as pleased with the sky. As I look at it now I am thinking I should take it apart and do it again but this time with more pinks/purples so there is more activity in the sky.

I followed the sketch to a tee and ended up with this plain section on the left. I got out my trusted Spica Pen and doodled and added Seasons Greetings. I then added dots and dashes around the image.

Well I`m still planning on changing the image but who knows.

Back again with the new improved version.
Now I am happy. This card simply looks better. I redid the stamped image and omitted the stars and bayer. I sponged the ink directly onto the CS. It doesn`t show too well but I also emboss some diamond dust onto he land area of the stamp. The Center panel now has a Dotted Swiss section on the far left. I hand wrote the sentiment Happy Holidays using a black Spica pen.
Details
Stamp: Lovely as a tree
Paper: Provo Craft Glittered Christmas Slab, Purple Paper from Micheals
Ink: Versamark
Accessories: Disco black embossing powder, spica pen, diamond dust
Now that`s all for today folks. Still not feeling perfect so off for a little laydown.
