Birthday Boy and Candy Alert

What a horrible weather day we are having...ice storm. I love winter but I hate when there is more ice than snow. School is cancelled so sons are happy and so are all my teaching colleagues who do not enjoy retirement. This is the only drawback to being retired...I miss the thrill of storm days!
Well, yesterday my baby turned 17...betcha figured that out from the card eh!
I made this card using my new Brayton Font and Rectangular stamper from JustRite. This is the first time I used it. I bought it when Flourishes had their sale...25% off. How could I resist this! I must mention that in all my online purchasing, Flourishes was super fast. I had my order in 9 days which is impressive when I choose mail as my method. I do not have any affiliation with Flourishes except as a very happy purchaser...just thought I would share their great customer service. So, back to the card. I embossed the stamp with gold detail embossing powder and love how it turned out. I used Very Vanilla and placed a layer of Gold Gloss paper underneath. It really shines. On the inside I embossed the clock from Magnolia`s Winter Stamp Kit. Love this stamp to show time passing.

I used the Dotted Swiss embossing folder and my CB to make the next layer on Whisper White paper. For the monogram I used Gold Detail embossing and first cut it with the Curly Tag punch and then layered it over the scalloped gold. A little ribbon and it`s all done.

I am very happy with this card...love the JustRite Stamper. No pictures of the Decorations maybe tomorrow.

Almost forgot Spiral Whispers has fantastic blog candy. Go check this out...its worth it.

Love your snow and think your card is just perfect for a teen! How clever with the watch and the JMF tag too!
