My Husband arrived home with this elephant stamp and asked for a card for a male
colleague who collects elephants so this is what I came up with. The elephant stamp is from Stamped Rubber and I actually like it. There is so much detail on the stamp that coloring is super easy. I used my French Grey Marker and added some color with Light Peach ....now I ask you how simple. After coloring I used the
versamark pen over the image and embossed it with clear powder. The other two stamps are from
Stampscapes and I love how useful they are. I stamped both first with
Versamark and then
Versafine Black
Onxy. I then embossed with Detail Clear powder. I stole this technique from the fabulous Michelle
Zindorff. The top is one stamp used twice to create the effect of looking through a tree. I used a circle mask to create the sinking sun. The
BG was done using Michelle's techniques again....Post It note across the bottom to
create the horizon line and color added with a
bayer.
The paper I used was double sided 12 x 12 paper of an
unknown source...one of those I picked up somewhere. I simply kept switching sides for the entire card. The card fits a 5 x 7 envelope.
I used some
cuttlebug dies to add some design to the inside of the card. I had made them for the front but they didn't work so they found a new place inside. The trim on the sentiment is from
EK. The sentiment is an
Inkadinkado stamp.
I
didn't open my computer on Saturday or Sunday so I am really late posting. I had a wonderful time with girlfriends on Sat. and loafed around with DH on Sunday. We accomplished nothing but had a great time. Sometimes it is fun to be useless for a short while.
Not much news today...guess I am still in the useless stage...gotta go make supper for the gang. Talk later.
Hugs
Heather
