Well its now 3.33am. The pups did it again. They started crying about 30 minutes ago and I tried to do as my DH suggested...ignore them, but I couldn't`t. It`s bad enough when a child cries but when an animal cries it`s horrible. It was just easier to get up. Now the next challenge is how to get 4 wild animals across to the other end of the house. They still don`t do stairs but they do like to tell you loudly that the found the stairs. I use a cane so speed is not a part of my life. They were a lot of screaming before I got them all down to the family room. Unfortunately, I woke middle son who was not pleased. Now to the post.
I did this card for the Ways to Use It challenge on SCS. You were to use a paper that you cherished yet never used. I love this paper. I have had it for about 2 years. It is handmade paper from Provo Craft. I never really know what to do with it. I cut 2 pieces and backed each with gold paper. I made the right side wider so I could use the Martha Stewart Lace punch on the edge. I knew it would give it an elegant appearance. Then I put the two pieces unto a single sheet of silver leaving a wider edge.
To add a little balance I punched flower shapes using the SU punches to create my flower. I alternated between gold and silver. To highlight the separation between the pieces of DP I used crystal effects to attach bracelet jewelry that I found in the bargain bin at Michaels. I think they really finished off the card. I put the card front onto a black card base I made from Carson textured cardstock. It is hard to see in the photo but I left a black edge all around.
Guess I should turn the TV on to a movie and get a few winks. If I try to watch a movie I am sure to fall asleep. I don`t know how many times this has happened.
Talk later. Have a great one.
