Autumn Canadian Thanksgiving

I gave this card to my SIL and BIL to celebrate Thanksgiving which is in a couple of weeks in Canada. I just love this stamp. It is called Fall Scene from Impression Obsession and I love it. The stamps from IO are available either on wooden blocks, cushion or plain. They are made with red rubber and they stamp beautifully. Anyone who knows me knows that I adore detailed stamps and this one is great. There are leaves, pumpkins, fences etc. and it was great fun to color.

I used Prismacolored pencils and OMS to color it all and used ink to do the BG sky. Once colored I cut it out and placed it on a piece of pumpkin pie cardstock. I used the largest square scalloped nestibility on the polk a dot piece and love the look.

The leave I scattered were actually a piece of DP that I cut the leaves out of. I used pencils to accent the veins and glued them on. I used the large and small oval punches to create the Happy Thanksgiving tag.

We had the Princess Party yesterday and it was a blast. All the little girls came dressed up as Princesses and they loved it. I had taken $store roses and cut them up so that we could spread rose petals all over the floor and furniture. The Princesses loved it. They loved dancing around in the petals. The big hit was drinking out of tea cups. It was so cute they stirred and stirred their Magic Tea which was juice. They thought it was so special. My DH and I both dressed up...he in a tux with the hat and cane and I wore sparkle clothes with my $store crown. We had such fun. My other niece was there and she turns 12 this year and has started to plan her dress up party. We really don`t have many times that we get to put the glad rags on so having a dress up party works for me.

Well after being a Princess Queen yesterday I am utterly exhausted and am on the way to the lay down zone. Talk tomorrow.
