Bless Me Angel

Todays Sketch Challenge at SCS was great. I loved the design. I used scraps for this card. It was fun trying to find matching yet different colors. I then used the swirl folder and the cuttlebug on the BG and the wider strip. I them rubbed silver ink on the purple and gold ink on the Aqua. They were both Archival Brilliance inks.

For the image I used the Angel from SU`s Holy Triptych. There is also a tag with swirls in this stamp set which I put the Angel inside. I used Disco Black embossing powder to emboss the stamps. Because it was hard to see the Angel I used H2Os to paint the Angel. I had actually done the Angel first in Gold embossing powder but when I did the Disco Black on the tag it also went on the Angel. Guess you can`t do 2 separate powders without masking one...and I forgot to. Oh well, mistakes are sometimes good.

The only things that were not scraps on this card are the flowers and the brad. I love the top flower. I almost hated using it. I have hoarded it long enough.

What a great Fall day here in the Maritimes...sunny and moderate temperatures. Just perfect. The leaves will start turning soon and then nature`s beauty takes over. Nothing compares to our beautiful Fall foliage. If you have never been to Eastern Canada then make the trip in the Fall. You will fall in love with us.

Off to get everybody`s supper. My dream life would be to have a live in cook. If someone would design the meals I could make them but I hate deciding what to make. Oh well, unless I win the lotto I`m outa luck.

Talk later

Heather
