Princess Sparkle

I made this card for my little great niece who will turn 4 this weekend. She is such a cutie and asked if she could have her Princess party at our house. We have very long outside steps leading up to our house and she thinks it looks like a palace. Now tell me, who could say no to such a request. So, Sunday will see us with 10 little girls dressed to the nines, for a Palace Princess Ball. I am so excited. I always wanted a little girl and I kept getting active little boys. Love them all but they are not into pink or purple like their Mom is.

Cadence is our little Princess who I profess to spoil and adore. I made this card for her with her favorite princess on it.

This is of course, a Disney stamp that I found at Michaels. I colored it in Primascolor pencils and highlighted it with both stickles and spica pen. It really sparkles but that is so hard to photograph. It either does not show much or it appears as a large white out. I did the image on whisper white and used the rectangle nestibility to cut out first the white and then the Pretty in Pink. The final layer is a piece of pink and white scrap that I cut with the scallop nestiel I outlines the embossed edges with silver spica pen and dots while I used a pink glaze pen to dot the scallops. Lots of sparkle. The large C is done in Cotton Candy stickles.
I used the small oval punch SU, and wrote four with the glaze pen and doodled with the stickles. This photo really shows how well the swiss dot cuttlebug folder works. I highlighted the dots by rubbing the silver ink pad across the paper. I did the same with the swirl embossed section and they both add more sparkle.
I outlined the birthday tag with more stickles. The only problem with stickles, at least for me, is getting it to dry before I smudge it all.

I know Cadence will love this sparkly card. I am also using it for the Cute Card Thursday Challenge #29 out this week. Perfect timing for me.

Well DH comes home tonight so its clean up time. I went to bed at 11pm but no luck sleeping so I got up at 1am and wrote this entry. Lord knows how many mistakes or ramblings there are on this. Please accept my apologies. I can`t vacuum without waking the boys so I guess I`ll dust and be ready to vacuum later on in the mornings.

Talk later and I love all the comments so please invite your friends over and lets talk.
