Sarah Kay Challenge #10 / Blog Candy Alert

Every Sunday Sarah Kay Challenges posts a new challenge. This week the sketch was
Great sketch right. I used my Sweet and Sazzy image from Sarah Kay. The artist is Elizabeth Bell and I think she is fantastic. I buy my stamps from Funky Kits found at http://www.funkykits.co.uk/catalog/ . I have had really great service from them and love their store.
Of course, I used my Prismacolored Pencils to do the image on whisper white paper. I used my largest rectangular nestilbility and embossed the frame. I used Vintage Photo and Frayed Burlap on the edges to highlight the embossed frame.
I really had fun distressing the edges of the BG layer. I used my cutting tool from SU to cut and roll the edges. The more you press against the edge the more it distresses the edges. On the left corners I wanted to create a 3D effect so I rolled the corners around a pencil to create the curl. I crumpled and re crumpled the paper before I used the Frayed Burlap Distress ink to highlight the many creases. I was trying for an aged look and think it turned out OK.

For the side design I used Prisma flowers and Martha Stewart`s lace edge punch on a scrap of DP. I found the holes were not showing up well so I highlighted them with a gold spica pen. I used a brown /brass brad to attach the larger flower combo and used crystal effects and microbeeds to attach the smaller flowers. I used the 1/4 inch punch and wrote thanks on it and then used Antique Glass Liquid Embossing fluid to give the tag a bit of punch.

The next layer was a scrap of unknown texture paper.

So do you like it or not. I really appreciate the comments. Its great to know someone else sees your work and has taken the time to comment.

Talk to you later. Heather

Before you go CHECK out this BLOG CANDY at http://bunny-zoes.blogspot.com/ . The prize is a fantastic High Hopes Christmas stamp....a really great snowman.
